Teledyne Awarded Chemical And Biological Defense Services Contract

LOS ANGELES - August 30, 2004 - Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE:TDY) today announced that Teledyne Brown Engineering, Inc., is among a team of companies that has been awarded an engineering services contract from the U.S. Army Edgewood Chemical Biological Center (ECBC) in Edgewood, MD. This multiple award ID/IQ contract is for a five-year term and has a $100 million ceiling.

Under the contract, Teledyne Brown will be performing engineering, development, and technical management in the areas of chemical and biological defense.
