Teledyne Technologies Wins $4 Million Contract From Harris Corporation
LOS ANGELES - March 12, 2003--Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE:TDY - News) announced today that it has received a $4 million contract from Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS - News), a leading provider of network solutions, for the development and initial production of a family of fiber optic transmitters and receivers to be used on the Joint Strike Fighter aircraft.
The fiber optic devices will be used in numerous avionics subsystems of the Joint Strike Fighter. Teledyne continues to supply Harris with other fiber optic devices for the F-22 Raptor program, which is currently in production. The initial contract is for development and production of quantities sufficient to supply early models of the Joint Strike Fighter, as well as avionics assemblies for subsystem development and system integration laboratories for the aircraft.
